Western New York Coalition for the Homeless

2010 DSS Workshop

 Tuesday -- February 9th, 2010

                                 Buffalo, NY

 Registration Commences 8:00 AM

Program 8:30am-1pm

 This annual event gathers together human services advocates and Erie County Department of Social Services representatives to announce changes in mainstream benefit programs, update on eligibility requirements and application processes, and troubleshoot barriers to service. Format will include more time for questions and answers, and there will be resources available for registrants to take home.

 Invited guests include Erie County Department of Social Services Commissioner Carol Dankert, Assistant Commissioner William Graham, and Department Heads from Temporary Assistance, Food Stamps, Medicaid, Employment/Child Care, Special Investigations, and Emergency Services/Homeless Team.

The event is FREE this year; costs are being subsidized by a joint fundraising effort geared toward community education by the Western New York Coalition for the Homeless and the Homeless Alliance of Western New York.   Complementary coffee and continental breakfast will be available

Due to high level of interest in these workshop topics, all people attending must register. If for some reason you are not able to attend after you have registered, please let us know so your name can be removed to make room for those on a waiting lis
